Indictment Against Bush Administration Print E-mail

Indictment Launched Against Bush Administration In The Court of Public Opinion

It began formally on June 9, 2008 when Dennis Kucinich gave official notice of his intention to introduce 35 articles of impeachment against George W. Bush to the U.S. House of Representatives. On June 10, 2008, as Congressman Robert Wexler joined Kucinich as co-sponsor of the resolution, Kucinich officially introduced his resolution to a near-empty House chamber. The Clerk took just under four hours to read the resolution into the record - Printed in Congressional Record, Volume 154, pp. H5088–H5107

The DEMRI, with little faith in the current Judiciary Committee ability to administer justice carries this concept forward into the Court of Public Opinion and translates the Articles on record into Counts applicable in formal legal proceedings. Additionally, the DEMRI community feels that all of the following are indicative of a serious Systemic problem in our nations capitol where thus far, the only hero we have to respect is Scott McClellan based on the following simple logic:

"When an elaborate system is established and maintained in the name of administering justice and democracy, that is a good thing... If, however, injustice and illegality occurs within that system with impunity, going unchecked; sustained by indifference, collusion, Codes of Silence and strategic misrepresentation of facts, then that system is corrupt and is nothing but a sophisticated system of highly organized criminality.

Anyone working within that system who fosters and promotes criminality through direct acts (supportive criminal behavior), active participation, or indireclty through coverup. collusion and other supportive behavior is a criminal, or an agent of criminals... Anyone within that system who knowingly remains silent, or does nothing to correct and expose the wrong doing (criminality) in that system is just as guilty as the person(s) who actually commit the acts themselves."

With links to the details of each charge, the following serves as the basis for this Indictment and extends to all Bush Administration Staff who neatly fit into the aforementioned flawless logic. Proponents of impeaching Bush assert that these actions qualify as "high crimes and misdemeanors" under which the president can constitutionally be impeached.

It should also be noted that current aggregate public opinion poll results indicate an overwhelming public apprehension that republican presidential candidate John McCain represents more of the same type of agenda in washington if elected.
